Traffic congestion to be expected during European summit on December 17th and 18th

The European summit taking place on Thursday, December 17th, and Friday, December 18th, will have a negative impact on traffic in the European quarter, warn Brussels-Capital-Ixelles police authorities. The summit will affect the Schuman neighbourhood first and foremost from 1:45 pm this Thursday onwards. Avenue de Cortenberg and the Reyers tunnel towards the centre will be closed from Thursday 9:30am. It will reopen in the afternoon of December 18th.

Metros will run as usual but will not stop at the Schuman station. Deviations around Schuman will also be in place for STIB and De Lijn buses.
