The lawyer of Salah Abdeslam stated today that his client refuses to be extradited to France.
Abdeslam was interrogated by an investigating judge on Saturday afternoon and will appear again before a court on Wednesday.
“A European arrest warrant against him has been issued," his lawyer Sven Mary confirmed to reporters. "We refuse to turn him over to France because there is a file in Belgium that first needs to be managed. His extradition to France can be suspended pending the development of the investigation in Belgium.”
