“Since Tuesday, we are doing the impossible every day”

Brussels airport will be closed also on Wednesday. The airport announces on its website www.brusselsairport2203.be that it will be closed for in- and outgoing passenger flights on Wednesday (30 March).

“Since Tuesday, when the terror attacks occurred, we are doing the impossible every day,” says Bernard Gustin, CEO of Brussels Airlines, to the business newspaper L´Echo. “As soon as flights will be resumed, although the first one might be empty, I trust that they will be filled very quickly.”

If a green light to start operations is given in the evening, “we would need the following morning until the beginning of the afternoon to restart the European flights”. Long flights are the most difficult from a logistical point of view.
