Brussels Léopold II tunnel closed for traffic

The Léopold II tunnel in Brussels has been closed to the general public Thursday afternoon. The decision to close it followed the discovery of detached cables in the tunnel, indicates Brussels centre of mobility, Mobiris.

The cables were torn by a truck driving in the tunnel. Technicians are dispatched to the site.

The extent for how long the tunnel will be closed is not know at the moment.
