The police is investigating. A man was killed on Tuesday evening (9 August) in a shooting incident in a building located in Aalst (East Flanders), said the mayor of the city, Christophe D'Haese. The circumstances of the tragedy remain unclear.
Neighbors heard gunshots around 21 pm and called the police. "One victim died, several shots were heard, but the police did not open fire. All those present in the building at the time of the shooting were taken in for questioning," said the mayor.
