Two shells from First World War discovered in Schaerbeek

Two shells dating back to the First World War were found yesterday evening (Monday) on the Place de Houffalize in Schaerbeek. The Service for Removal and Destruction of Explosive Devices (SRDED) attended at the premises. A security perimeter was set up whilst the service intervenened.

This was stated by the North police zone, which covers Schaerbeek, Evere and Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. The context of the discovery of the two shells was not stated.
