Two people, aged 22 and 23, were injured in a fight on Thursday morning, on rue des Coteaux in Schaerbeek, Brussels.

Earlier on Thursday at around 3 AM, four people were also injured, one of them seriously, in another violent fight not far away involving 10 people, on Avenue Louis Bertrand.

“Police officers from the Brussels-North area intervened on Thursday at 06:44 AM on Rue des Coteaux in Schaerbeek in a fight involving four people,” Brussels public prosecutor’s office confirmed on Friday.

“Two people, aged 22 and 23, were taken care of by the emergency services. Their lives are not in danger.”

A judicial perimeter was set up. Notified of the facts, the deputy public prosecutor ordered the first investigative steps, namely the “camera investigation” and the intervention of the Federal Judicial Police laboratory.

“The investigation is continuing and, in the interest of the investigation, the public prosecutor’s office will not make any further comments on this case,” the office added.
