A person climbed to the top of a crane located rue aux Laines in Brussels on Tuesday morning. The person threatened to commit suicide, according to RTL Info.
Police and firefighters are present in number on the spot.
"The police have called the firefighters as reinforcements, police negotiators are on hand," said Walter Derieuw, spokesman for the fire department.
The situation appears to be ongoing, according to reports in Belgian media.
