A driver from the Brussels region was arrested early on Friday morning after a dramatic high-speed chase on the E411 in Luxembourg. Significant resources had to be deployed during the night as part of a major police operation carried out in several locations on the E411 to catch the driver.
During the evening, a motorist under the influence of alcohol and drugs turned around on the highway at the sight of the roadblock before fleeing at high speed. The Luxembourg Public Prosecutor’s Office mentions the driver was going up to speeds of 200 km/h.
The driver drove several kilometres on the four blown tyres after driving over a harrow, an agricultural tool used for breaking up and smoothing soil. The person concerned was wanted for a hearing in several court cases and was eventually arrested.
