Temperature set to reach 18 degrees over the weekend

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the weather will turn milder with highs of 13 to 18 degrees, the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (RMI)announced in its forecast on Friday.

On Friday, following a chilly night, the morning will be calm and sunny. In the afternoon, it will be partially cloudy with the weather remaining dry. It will become a little milder with temperatures reaching 9 or 10 degrees in the Ardennes hills and 13 or 14 degrees in lower and mid-Belgium. The wind will be light to moderate in the east. In the afternoon it will change to a north-easterly direction on the coast.

Throughout the evening and during the night, it will remain dry with some breaks in the cloud but with a fair number of cloudy areas. There will be mist and fog patches in places and lows of between 0 and 6 degrees, with a light to moderate wind in the east.

On Saturday, the weather will remain dry with variable to thick cloud cover. Maximum temperatures will be mild for the time of year, ranging from 13 degrees on the coast as well as in Upper Belgium, to 18 locally in Kempen. The wind will be light to moderate in the east. On the coast, a steady north-easterly sea breeze is forecast for the afternoon.

On Sunday and Monday, the weather will remain mild with highs of 13 to 18 degrees, with showers in places.
