A man driving behind a truck was seriously injured when the payload of the truck fell on his vehicle, in the Rue de la Fusée in Evere on Thursday morning.
It is currently unknown how the container of the truck came loose and fell onto the van driving behind it. The driver of the van was seriously injured in the incident, but no longer in critical condition, reports the Brussels North police.
The driver was stuck (under the load) and had to be freed by the fire department, and was transferred to the hospital immediately.
A legal expert was appointed to investigate how the container could have come loose.
