Fire services were deployed in Molenbeek on Tuesday afternoon following reports of large plumes smoke from a home in the area. Services arrived at Rue de Menin at around 3 PM to deal with a fire caused by an out of control barbecue on a terrace, according to Walter Dereeuw, spokesman for the Brussels fire brigade.
The incident was under control by 3:45 PM, and there were no injuries.
"The house is still habitable," said Derieuw to Bruzz.
The fire and smoke - which could be seen from streets away - are understood to have not caused any major damage.
