Brussels burglar caught using 'find my phone' function

A burglar was arrested on April 12 after being tracked using the location services on a stolen mobile phone, according to the Brussels North police. The Brussels-North police were called to a house on Rue Jacques Rayé in Schaerbeek after a burglary shortly before 2 AM last week.

While the police carried out their investigation in the house, one of the victims was able to track the alleged perpetrator using the location function of a mobile phone stolen during the robbery.

The alleged perpetrator - identified as I.K. (born in 1979) - was intercepted at Chaussée de Helmet, when the police recovered the mobile phone.

Some of the stolen items were recovered, and the suspect was made available to the Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office.
