Three people have been arrested in a counter-narcotics operation in the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek, in which cash and several grams of different substances, including cocaine and marijuana, were also seized.

The arrests, conducted on May 17, were the result of a police investigation which led to the discovery of the small group’s stash of narcotics after a judge issued a search warrant.

In one location police found 300 grams of hash, 500 grams of marijuana and 158 pills of MDMA, or ecstasy, according to a police statement released Tuesday.

A separate search in the individuals’ homes led to the discovery and seizure of an additional 530 grams of hash, 130 grams of marijuana and 5 grams of cocaine.

Police units also seized 1,600€ in cash as well as other material, such as weights and mobile phones.

The three arrested individuals have been placed under investigation.
