No trains are stopping in Brussels’ Delta metro station after it was shut down due to a gas leak on Wednesday morning.
At around 11:20 AM, public transport operator STIB announced that trains were not stopping in the station, located to the east of the Ixelles municipality.
Trains were however still circulating through the metro stop, according to STIB.
The gas leak in the station, occurred after a pipe was ruptured during road works that are being conducted in the vicinity of the station.
A security perimeter has been established as the gas leak is controlled by firefighters, who confirmed that the station was closed down as a precautionary measure.
