Two men were beaten up on Sunday at the Porte de Namur in a gang-related event, according to local media.

The men were not seriously injured, however, the fight was assumed to be part of the gang war in Matonge, reports Bruzz.

In May, a former member of the city gang MAF (Mafia Africaine), was stabbed in the Matonge neighbourhood of Brussels. The victim did not survive the stabbing. Last Sunday two friends of the man who died in May were beaten up in Porte de Namur, reports La Capitale.

The culprit - who is understood to have been a friend of the man who was stabbed in May - is said to have attacked the two men because they had done too little to prevent the death of their friend, adds the report.
