Only two trains per hour will run to and from the European Quarter in Brussels from Monday 4 September until the end of April 2024 due to construction works, railway companies Infrabel and SNCB announced.
For the eight months from September to April 2024, as well as from October 2024 to June 2025, Infrabel and SNCB will be installing a new bridge at the Saint-Job station in Uccle.
The existing bridge, which dates from 1928, will be replaced with a wider one that has a wider space for trains, trams, buses, cars, bicycles and pedestrians. There will also be two lifts for people with reduced mobility in order to access the platforms of the station.

During the works, Infrabel will limit traffic to one track on part of the Hal-Vilvorde route for several months and adjust the train services between the Brussels-Luxembourg and Saint-Job stations. The impact of this will be felt in the European Quarter.
On weekdays, the S5, S7, S9 and S19 trains will run with a limited service. During weekends, they are expected to operate as usual, but with a modified arrangement.
