Two armed robberies took place in the Marolles neighbourhood in Brussels within the last week.
Both incidents occurred in hospitality establishments located around Place du Jeu de Balle in Marolles.
On the evening of Thursday 12 September, an armed robber carrying pepper spray attacked the boss of the Marseilles bar and ran away with the cash register, reports La Capitale.
This week, on the night of Monday 16 September, an armed robber stole a cash register from the restaurant Au Vieux Marché. On this occasion, the robber also stole smartphones belonging to the owner of the restaurant, an employee and a restaurant client.
The owner of Au Vieux Marché suffered a blow to the head, reports Bruzz.
It is not confirmed that there is a link between the two incidents.
The public prosecutor is aware of the two incidents but has not arrested any suspects.
