As part of the French-speaking community's celebrations this week (Fête de la Communauté française), a major free concert is being organised on Friday 29 September on the Grand Place in Brussels, the City of Brussels announced on Monday.
This 16th 'Grand rendez-vous de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles' will also be under the banner of 50 years of hip-hop, including a performance by Benny B and Daddy K.
The concert is due to start at 19:30. Access to the Grand Place will be restricted from 18:00 to 23:00, however, so as not to exceed the authorised audience capacity. "Should the maximum capacity of the square be reached, it will be closed for safety reasons," City authorities say.
The concert, presented by Joëlle Scoriels and Walid, will be broadcast from 20:20 on La Une télé, on radio on Vivacité and on the Auvio platform. As well as Benny B and Daddy K, the line-up also includes MC Solaar, Hatik, Pierre de Maere, Loïc Nottet, Rori, Black M, YG Pablo, Coely, Colt and Fùgù Mango.
