Police are working to identify the driver behind a hit and run incident which left one person riding an electric scooter severely injured.
The incident took place in the Etterbeek municipality of Brussels at around 11:30 PM on Thursday, when a car driving on Avenue de Tervueren hit a person on an electric scooter, Bruzz reports.
The driver fled the scene and the victim had to be rushed to the hospital with critical injuries but their condition has since stabilised.
Police opened an investigation into the incident in order to identify the perpetrator, of whom there is still no trace, the outlet reports.
The victim's family has called on witnesses to come forward with information which could lead to identifying the driver.
