FestiVita returns to Brussels on Saturday for its third edition

The third edition of the “FestiVita! Brussels Early Music Festival” is set to highlight ancient music in Brussels from today until next weekend 18 February.

Following a preview concert at the Saints-Michel-et-Gudule Cathedral, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Ancient Music Department of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, the festival will return to its traditional location, the Royal Gaulois Artistic and Literary Circle.

This edition will be themed “Brussels and the Southern Netherlands”.

Among the highlights are 16 concerts featuring the likes of the Concert de la loge and the Correspondances ensemble, a Renaissance ball, a banquet, a musical story for children, and an exhibition of lutherie.

The festival aims to spotlight Belgian and Brussels-based musicians and composers.

The full schedule is available on the festivita.be website.
