Exciting additions are set to join the culinary line-up at StrEat Fest, Brussels' street food and urban art festival, which is taking place from 16 to 19 May this year.

Alongside the already announced Michelin-starred chefs, including Christophe Hardiquest, Yves Mattagne and Florent Ladeyn, eight former contestants from the 14th season of Top Chef and 'Loïc Dirty Kitchens' are set to participate, as revealed by event organisers on Thursday.

Among those are César Lewandowski, Mathieu Lagarde, Carla Ferrari, Sarika Sor, Miguel Garcia-Herrera, Jérémie Falissard, Léo Renusson, and Jacques Lagarde. These exciting culinary names from last year's French Top Chef competition have confirmed their participation. They will not only be bringing their signature dishes but also offering masterclasses and judging the amateur cooking competition hosted by StrEat Fest.

Over the course of the four-day event, approximately 100 chefs will alternate to satisfy the festival goers' palates. Noteworthy chefs such as Stefan Jacobs (Hors-Champs), Benjamin Rauwel (Drunkenness), Alexandru Sapco (Good Food), Simona El-Harar (Kitchen 151), Nathan Urbanowiez (Sanzaru), Luca Termine (Tartare), Alex Joseph (Cantina Valentina), Jean-Philippe Watteyne (Good Mum's Farm) and Sébastien Serroyen (El Cuchillo) are among those on the agenda.

Sweet and chocolate lovers can eagerly anticipate the likes of Anaïs Gaudemer (Cokoa), Laurent Gerbaud and Jean-Philippe Darcis.

The mission of these chefs, as per the organisers, is to "make any kind of cuisine – starred, trendy, gastronomic, fashionable – accessible to all food lovers." Some of these star chefs are expected to provide masterclasses where they will concoct a "signature dish" live. Notably, Loïc Van Impe, also known as 'Loïc Dirty Kitchens', will be present for this event.

The festival will also offer 150 culinary and urban art workshops, 40 concerts, DJ performances and a local producers' market.
