A shooting took place in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht around 03:00 on Sunday night. The façade of a house near the Clemenceau metro station was targeted. There were no injuries.

Residents heard gunshots and two bullet holes were found in the façade of a house near the metro station, RTL reports. A security perimeter was set up to give ballistic experts time to make their findings.

"We can confirm that shots were fired during the night from Sunday to Monday in Anderlecht, in the Clemenceau neighbourhood," confirmed a spokesperson for the office of Anderlecht Mayor Fabrice Cumps to Belga News Agency.

Several patrols went to the scene, where the officers found some bullet casings lying on the ground, the Brussels Prosecutor's Office said. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
