Flemish Minister-President Jan Jambon is leading a delegation of 41 companies and institutions to France for an inaugural “industrial mission”.

The purpose of the visit which takes place from Tuesday to Thursday is to bolster the Flemish industrial ecosystem through partnerships.

The delegation will stop in Lyon, Grenoble, Paris and Lille. High on their agenda is visiting the Axelera (Chemistry) and Techtera (Textile) competitive clusters, along with Belgium-rooted companies such as Danone and Decathlon.

Flemish airport companies will meet their French counterparts, and a roundtable discussion is also scheduled with major French investors in Flanders.

A meeting with France’s Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, Marina Ferrari, is also planned by Jan Jambon.

France ranks as the third largest trade partner to the Flemish region, and the second biggest foreign direct investor (after the United Kingdom) in Flanders.
