United States President Joe Biden’s memory lapses became more extreme this week after he invited recently-deceased EU luminary Jacques Delors, long-expired French President François Mitterand and Ancient Roman commander Julius Caesar to a summit.

France’s current head of state, Emmanuel Macron, was the first to notice something was diplomatically amiss this week when his office received a telegram from the White House inviting Mitterand, who died in 1996, to a summit.

Italy’s Giorgia Meloni was also reportedly confused to receive an engraved tablet from a messenger on horseback requesting the presence of murdered Ancient Roman general Julius Caesar at that same meeting.

Le Chou can exclusively reveal that Biden’s office sent invitations to ex-EU Commission chief Jacques Delor, who died last month, 10th Century Viking warlord Harald Bluetooth, Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne and Renaissance noblewoman Lucrezia Borgia.

The US commander-in-chief has also invited a number of fictional leaders to the table, including the Steward of Gondor, Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge, rebel leader Mon Mothma and T'Challa, King of Wakanda.

As a show of “good faith”, Biden’s invitations also reveal that the president has agreed to hold the summit on neutral territory, suggesting that the leaders could meet in Rhodesia, Yugoslavia or the Planet Hoth.

Biden is apparently aware that long-time White House foreign policy boss Henry Kissinger is “thankfully at last dead”.
