Inflation in the eurozone slowed to 1.7% in January, down from 1.9% in December, according to preliminary figures from Eurostat released on Wednesday.
This marks the lowest inflation rate since April 2021.
The decline is mainly attributed to falling energy prices, which dropped by 4.1% last month compared to a 1.9% decrease in December.
The European Central Bank (ECB) aims to maintain inflation at around 2%.
