On Thursday 24 March, United States President Joe Biden is coming to Brussels, where he will participate in a NATO summit on the war in Ukraine as well as an EU summit.

On Tuesday, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg announced that the heads of state or government of NATO member states would meet at the headquarters of the treaty organisation in Brussels next Thursday.

"We will address Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, our strong support for Ukraine, and the further strengthening of NATO’s deterrence and defence," he said on Twitter.

US President Joe Biden will also attend, as he is set to travel to Brussels "to discuss ongoing deterrence and defence efforts in response to Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine, as well as to reaffirm our ironclad commitment to our NATO allies," White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed on Tuesday.

Additionally, Biden will attend the EU summit that also takes place in Brussels next Thursday and Friday as well.
