More than 30 people may be trapped under the rubble of a collapsed apartment building hit by Russian missile strikes last night in Chasiv Yar, in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region.

The five-storey building was bombarded with Russian Uragan-type missiles, Donetsk governor Pavlo Kirilenko said on Telegram. Six people have been confirmed to have been killed with five injured, but the toll is feared to be much higher

According to the Governor of Donetsk, two people under the rubble were able to make contact, as the rescue mission continues.

The Russian Ministry of Defence did report on Saturday about shelling at Chasiv Yar. Russia continues to deny attacking civilian targets in Ukraine.
