The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) and supplier Cérélia have decided to recall all "Chef Select" puff pastries from Lidl supermarkets' shelves due to a possible presence of salmonella.
The risk of salmonella only affects products supplied to the supermarket chain Lidl, between 14 and 23 July 2025. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
All customers are now urged to return the products to the supermarkets, and have been warned not to consume them, specifically the 230-gram packages with an expiry date of 12 August 2025. Refunds will be guaranteed to everyone, regardless of whether customers have a receipt of their purchase.
