Hidden Belgium: Revista

Hidden Belgium: Revista

Every café in Antwerp is different. Some have an authentic old look that hasn’t changed in decades. Others, like Revista, are hip modern places where the laptop crowd hang out.

When it opened 16 years ago, it was one of Antwerp’s first real coffee bars. Inspired by Argentina’s distinctive kioskos, Revista (‘magazine’ in Spanish) carries an extensive range of international design and art magazines.

Located near the fine arts museum KMSKA, it’s a good spot to meet up with an art-loving friend. On summer days, you can sit out on the square drinking a local craft beer.

Derek Blyth’s hidden secret of the day: Derek Blyth is the author of the bestselling “The 500 Hidden Secrets of Belgium”. He picks out one of his favourite hidden secrets for The Brussels Times every day.
