Walibi is looking for 600 seasonal workers and students for its 2023 season, which will start on Saturday 1 April, the theme park in Wavre, Walloon Brabant, said on Monday.

For the first time, it will also be open during the Christmas holidays.

To recruit the staff needed to run the facility, Walibi will hold a virtual event – on 25 January and 1 February – where interested candidates and park managers can meet.

The prospective candidates will have until 12 February to apply.

Profiles sought range from attraction pilots to team leaders in catering, including cleaners, receptionists, lifeguards, animation staff and many other positions.

Experience in tourism or in another theme park is not a prerequisite, the theme park says. All seasonal workers will benefit from a free training course on tourism and leisure reception jobs, organised in collaboration with Forem, Wallonia's Employment and Vocational Training Department.

The first of the two days of the virtual event, 25 January, is already fully booked, with more than 1,000 registrations.

However, it is still possible to register for the session on 1 February via the website www.walibi.be.
