Belgium's Red Devils posed for the traditional team photo in Qatar on Friday, not only in the red match shirt, but also in their warm-up shirt, a rainbow-coloured jersey banned by FIFA.
In both versions of the team photo, Eden Hazard wore the One Love captain’s armband, and the photos were posted on Twitter with the message 'One Love.'
The captains of seven European teams were to wear the armband at the World Cup as a sign of support for the One Love movement against discrimination and in defence of LGBTQ+ rights.
However, the international football federation threatened to dish out yellow cards and financial sanctions should teams do so.
