British Airways has announced that it will cancel some 10,000 flights to and from London Heathrow airport between October and March.
The airline also had to cancel many flights in summer due to staff shortages and capacity limitations at the airport. This winter, mainly short-haul flights will be affected.
About 8% of flights are being cancelled. Customers affected by the cancellations will be able to opt for alternative flights operated by British Airways or other carriers, or a refund.
