Prince Harry and his wife Meghan say they were “used to feed the wolves” and accuse the royal family of “lying to protect” Prince William, heir to the throne, in a trailer for the latest episodes of their Netflix documentary.

In the first episodes of the docuseries 'Harry & Meghan,' the Duke and Duchess of Sussex focused mainly on media harassment and spoke about the “unconscious bias” of the royals in terms of racism.

However, the sequel to the series, which airs on Thursday, looks set to be more explosive for the royal family as King Charles III’s youngest son and his mixed-race American wife are set to tell their version of their shock departure from the monarchy in 2020.

“I wasn’t just thrown to the wolves, I was used to feed the wolves,” Meghan Markle says in a trailer for the episodes.

Barrage of accusations

“They think it’s OK to lie to protect my brother, but they weren’t prepared to tell the truth to protect us,” Harry says in a reference to his brother William, heir to the British crown.

The broadcast of the first episodes did not bring any shocking revelations as some feared, and as had been the case in 2021 with the couple’s interview on American television, marked by accusations of racism.

With accusations of lack of support and portraying the British monarchy and the Commonwealth as outdated, imperialist institutions, it has reignited accusations against Harry and Meghan in the UK, where are very unpopular.

The main accusations are: hypocrisy on their part, fiddling with the truth, and disrespecting the monarchy three months after the death of Elizabeth II and the accession to the throne of Charles III.
