Tesla boss Elon Musk regained the top spot in the global wealth rankings on Thursday, ahead of luxury group LVMH's CEO, Bernard Arnault of France, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Third place went to Jeff Bezos.
The whimsical US billionaire, who has owned Twitter for several months, is now graced with a wealth of $192 billion, compared with $187 billion for Bernard Arnault.
He reclaimed his throne thanks in part to the poor performance of LVMH, whose share value has fallen by 6% in a month, while Tesla’s has made good progress.
Bernard Arnault had moved to the top rung of the global wealth ladder in December 2022.
