The Belgian band Hooverphonic has unveiled their entry for the 2021 Eurovision song contest, which will be held in Rotterdam later this year.

According to the group the new song - "The Wrong Place" - is about a woman waking up and wondering why a man is in her bed after a one night stand.

The song - which saw its worldwide release on MNM radio on Thursday morning - follows the announcement that the band would remain the Belgian candidates for 2021 after the 2020 edition was cancelled.

The band made headlines late in 2020 after the announcement that Luka Cruysberghs - who had joined the band in 2018 - would be replaced by former singer Geike Arnaert, who provided vocals for the band's hit song "Mad About You".

The next edition of the Eurovision song contest will be held in May.
