Liège: hairdressing student shows off weapon to classmates

A student from a hairdressing school in Liege was taken into custody on Friday after he showed off an over-the-counter starter gun to his classmates, the Court of Liege reported last Saturday. On Friday, a student from a hairdressing school in Rue Pitteurs, in Liege, showed a gun to his classmates. After being informed, the police searched the 18-year-old Liégeois student’s home and found a starter gun that can typically be bought over the counter.
The student has been detained and will be brought before Liège Public Prosecutor on Saturday. He may face prosecution in a criminal court for possession and transportation of a firearm without lawful purpose.
