Two pupils burned during an explosion at a school in Geer

Two secondary school pupils were burned during an explosion at the Saint-Joseph secondary school in Geer (in the Liège province) on Friday afternoon. This was confirmed on Friday evening by reliable sources. Around 3.15pm, two students studying bodywork were burned during an explosion in the mechanics workshop in the establishment’s carpark. It is not known what caused the explosion.

The two youths were taken to the severe burns unit in Brussels by fire brigade ambulances. Their lives are not at risk.
