An escaped horse injured several people in Knokke on Sunday. A pedestrian was seriously injured and is in intensive care, say the Damme/Knokke-Heist police. A rider fell off their horse, and the horse ran off. The two riders accompanying the fallen rider went after the horse, but weren’t able to catch it.
At Appelzakstraat, the horse knocked over a man, before later running into a woman and 9 year old child. The three riders were slightly injured, but the man who was knocked over is much more badly injured. He was taken to hospital, and is in intensive care. The woman and child were able to leave the hospital later that day.
