The PJF Liège police officer who tried to kill herself between life and death

The PJF Liège police officer who tried to kill herself with her service weapon on Monday afternoon is between life and death, the Liège Prosecutor’s office said on Monday evening. The 42 year old woman was taken to a Liège hospital in a critical condition early on Monday afternoon, after her act of desperation. The 42 year old used her service weapon to try and commit suicide by shooting herself in the head earlier that afternoon. She has been with the PJF Liège for around 15 years, and was at the PJF laboratory in the former Liège Courthouse when the incident happened.
What made the police officer do this is not yet known, her professional entourage has said. It is not thought to be linked to her work.
