Teenager dies at wheel of his father’s car in Beauraing
Monday, 06 July 2015
Around 9.30 p.m. on Sunday evening, a fourteen-year-old killed himself in an accident whilst driving his father’s car in Pondrôme (near the village of Beauraing, in the Namur province), announced the Crown prosecutor on Monday morning. The driver’s passenger was injured and both of them were taken to the Mont-Godinne University Hospital. The driver died as a result of his injuries. The slippery road conditions due to rain, coupled with excessive speed resulted in the vehicle veering off the road, before flipping several times in the air, added the Senior Crown Prosecutor’s Office. As a result, the young driver was thrown out of the vehicle.
