Antipollution cheating – Renault calls back 383 vehicles in Belgium

Renault needs to call back 15 000 vehicles from the market. Among them 383 are found in Belgium, indicated on Tuesday Karl Schuybroek, Renault spokes-person in Belgium.

“It relates to a technical problem with the exhaust filter in the Captur models that have the dCi 110 diesel engines.” The cars were produced between February and July according to the spokes-person.

This problem has nothing to do with the issues facing Volkswagen, he reminded.

The French minister of Ecology, Ségolène Royal, said on Tuesday that Renault, put on the spot for exceeding pollution standards, will call back 15 000 vehicles. She is clear that “they will have to verify and adjust them correctly so that the filter system will work” in all the temperature conditions.
