An information memo will be published Monday by SOGEPA, the financial arm of the Walloon Region, for bidders on Veviba activities in Bastogne, we learned from the Walloon Economy Minister’s Cabinet Pierre-Yves Jeholet. Following AFSCA’s withdrawal of its assents to Veviba, and the unveiling of a sanitary crisis concerning the company, crisis managers have been designated by SOGEPA, upon decision of the Walloon Government, for Veviba.

The Minister of Economy’s Cabinet has confirmed, moreover, as it had been announced in Monday’s edition of Le Soir, that the Verbist group, owner of Veviba, had first accepted to step aside for what follows.

Possible candidate bidders will be able to submit a “non-binding offer,” that is, to show their interest, until Wednesday midnight. The applications will then be enhanced on the basis of a dossier. That memo will concern Veviba in Bastogne, as well as the Rochefort and the Zottegen slaughter houses, also owned by Verbist.
