White Box and flexi-jobs do not reduce undeclared work

Almost half of the restaurant and catering companies that have been submitted to social control are breaking the law, and that in spite of the White Box and the success of flexi-jobs, according to information released in the daily papers De Standaard and Gazet van Antwerpen published Thursday. The social inspection’s controls performed last year revealed violations in 43% of the cases, hardly a percentage point less than in 2016.

This is what comes out of the figures released by the Information and Social Research Service (SIRS). In 2015, before the introduction of the White Box and flexi-jobs, a little less than half of the businesses were in infringement.
