Workers discovered a phosphorous bomb on Friday while working in Ypres, West Flanders. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service, SEDEE/DOVO, went to the location and neutralised the device. The neighbourhood was temporarily evacuated.
The bomb was found on Friday morning. The police established a security perimeter around the location, while area residents were asked to close their doors, windows and ventilation systems.
The Ordnance Disposal Service’s intervention ended at 11:00 a.m.
