Belgian-Spanish Antwerp student Elena Castro Suarez won Miss Belgium 2019, held Saturday at a gala evening in Adinkerke. She thus succeeds Angeline Flor Pua. Law student, Elena Suarez Castro, is 18 years old and born in Antwerp. She was crowned the winner after a long evening, which saw 30 initial candidates gradually being eliminated. This makes it the fourth out of the five most recent competition, that the winner comes from the Antwerp province.
Elena Suarez Castro also won the Miss Charity price.
According to Charline Devos, president of the national committee of Miss Belgium, the results were very tight. Elodie Duchesne, 19, from Namur was first runner-up and Aline Elsermans, 25 and also Antwerp, on third place.
