In April 2019, 755,436 passengers passed through Charleroi airport, 2% more than a year earlier, according to company results. "These results are in line with the forecasts of the airport which continues to grow in 2019," said in a statement from the airport on Wednesday.
Italy was the most popular destination to and from the airport last month. It was followed by Spain, France, Morocco and Poland.
In a recent study, the airport was awarded the 14th spot in Air Help’s ranking, which gives scores to 132 airports worldwide according to passenger-experience.
This contrasts with Brussels Airport, which dropped to the 115th place.
