A 27-year-old man has pleaded guilty to the murder of a Belgian tourist in the Canadian province of British Columbia in 2018.
The man, identified as Canadian Sean McKenzie, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in front of a judge on Monday.
Amélie Sakkalis (28), a Belgian tourist from Tournai, was found dead on 22 August 2018, north of the Canadian village of Boston Bar in British Columbia.
McKenzie was arrested in September 2018 and charged with first-degree murder of Amélie Sakkalis (28).
He is scheduled to receive his sentencing on 19 November, reports the Canadian broadcasting company, CBC.
