Call for witnesses to a violent attack at Saint-Josse-ten-Noode

On Monday, the Brussels Prosecutor’s office revealed they were looking for the perpetrator of a violent attack which took place in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode on the 5th of July. A 49 year old man was badly beaten, apparently after a traffic incident. He may lose an eye. The perpetrator has not yet been identified. The attack took place at the entrance to the car-park of an apartment building on the corner of rue de la Pacification and due De Bruyn in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. It happened on the 5th of July, at around 8.20pm. The victim was violently beaten by the individual while he was waiting for the car-park barrier to open.

A short time before, there had been an incident between the victim and the perpetrator inside the tunnels of the capital. The perpetrator followed the victim to his house, and then beat him. The perpetrator was driving a white Citroën van. He is in his thirties, about 1m70 tall, and of average build. He has short dark hair and thick eyebrows. He had a two to three day old beard, and was wearing light coloured jeans and a grey polo shirt on the day of the attack.

At the time of the attack, two witnesses were close-by. Investigators would like these people to come forward so they can find out exactly what happened.
