A man was detained on Sunday after stabbing his brother-in-law with a knife at a family gathering in Durbuy, the Office of the Public Prosecutor (OPP) in Luxembourg reported. The incident took place in a Flemish family visiting Durbuy. Its members had gathered in a vacation home to celebrate a wedding anniversary, when an altercation broke out between brothers-in-law, one of whem whipped out a knife and stabbed the other in the chest.
The wounded man was taken to the university hospital of Liège, but his life is not in danger, the OPP said.
The knife-wielder was detained, and was scheduled to appear before a judge on Monday.
